
Prea Millar
After living in Wellington for 7 years pursuing her passion for Theatre at Te Herenga Waka, Victoria University of Wellington where she studied Theatre and Classical studies, Prea has recently returned to her hometown of Timaru. Prea has spent the last 4 years as a professional performer, producer, and playwright. As a founding member and creative producer of the award-nominated theatre company Blue Flicker Productions, Prea has worked on their productions of Should Have Said No (2020) as a performer and co-playwright, Big Foot (2021) as producer and co-playwright, Wendybird (2022) as a performer and playwright, Kindred Spirits (2023) as performer, producer and co-playwright, Letter to a Friend (2023) as performer, playwright and marketing manager. After graduating from Te Herenga Waka Prea was involved with their MFA program as a production manager for two projects in the Six Degrees Festival – Cherry Cola (2021), You’d Look So Pretty If (2022). Prea also worked at Te Herenga Waka as a tutor in the theatre program for 2023. Over the years, and since returning home, Prea has worked alongside the team at Aidan Theatre Company on countless productions, notably the Too Much Punch for Judy Tour (2020/21) as a performer and production assistant, Pride + Prejudice (2024) as a performer, playwright, and marketing manager. Prea is currently hosting Youth Drama Classes for ages 10 to 18 while developing new and exciting projects, such as Hamlet (2024), Letter to a Friend (2024) second development.
