As a Passionate Director, I believe in the magic of live theatre for connecting and inspiring others. I enjoy coffee with friends, gathering ideas and exploring new creative ways to work.
With more than 25 years of experience as a director, I have shown a dedicated commitment to the theatre and performing arts community in New Zealand. My unwavering passion, curiosity, and proactive approach to creating and developing work have taken me on a journey across the country, where I have engaged in various theatrical projects. This path led me to achieve a Master’s degree in Theatre Arts (Directing) with Merit from Toi Whakaari NZ Drama School and Victoria University of Wellington in 2016. My directing style is marked by a clear vision for each project and a collaborative instinct. I aim to foster a shared sense of responsibility and dedication to achieving outstanding results by closely working with the production team and actors. This is seen in the projects from theatre to events, audience reactions and feedback. I am particularly excited about collaborating with individuals at all levels of their theatrical careers, from beginners to experienced performers. Working in the community to build visibility and advocate for the performing arts and all the benefits a community gets from those involved. My focus is on encouraging and guiding actors to unleash their creativity and deliver exceptional performances.
