Since graduating from Art School in Norwich, Uk in 2002 Oishi has worked as a Professional Artist and Teacher ever since. Her solo show ‘Mark on my life’ in 2006 reflected her personal childhood medical event while using the medium of print to articulate the most modern of human achievements: medical advancement. Over the last two decades Oishis work has been included in numerous group exhibitions. She teaches privately at her Studio in Timaru CBD and at local high schools. Oishi’s’ main medium is relief print. This sits alongside cardboard sculpture, painting in oils and acrylic, mixed media, and drawing with various materials. Oishi has worked with musicians to create cover art for singles as well with theatre companies to design and manufacture stage sets.
